Your hands are in D Position for this piece.
Right hand thumb starts on the D next to middle C, and left hand pinky starts on the D below.

This week, go through bars 1-8 with your right hand and left hand separately.
Feel free to join them together once they start to feel comfortable, but I'm happy to wait until our next lesson for that - it's tricky because you need to read BOTH lines at the SAME TIME.
Keep the rhythm slow and steady. When your piece starts with longer notes (minims or semibreves), remember to have a quick look through before you start to see what your faster notes are (usually quavers) so that you can start it slow enough so that they're not too quick.
