Finger Exercises & Scales
Re: Finger Exercises
This is the music that goes with the finger exercise we did quickly today - don't worry too much about reading the music, but it's here for you if you need it!
This exercise uses all of your fingers, and takes you up and down the span of the keyboard.
Start with just your right hand, you are going up and down your fingers but skipping a key on the way up.
1 (skip key) 2 3 4 5 down 4 3 2 1
so it'll be
C (skip D) E F G A down G F E D
The note you land on will begin your next pattern - D (skip E) F G A B down A G F, E (skip F) G A B C down B G A, F (skip G) A B C D down C B A etc etc.
Once you have this pattern sitting comfortably on your right hand, try it on your left - use the same fingers, so this time you'll be going down the keyboard and backwards through your notes.
